Our name holds three ideas. Air stands for international travel and the pull of somewhere new. Service is the useful part: clear guides and plans you can actually use. Assist is the help itself, whether that is choosing a destination, building a budget, or working out how to get from the airport to your hotel.

Put together, it is a simple promise. A memorable trip does not have to be expensive or complicated. Most of the time it just needs better information and a realistic plan.

Our mission

We want to help more people travel more often. That means making independent travel easier to understand, showing that affordable destinations can be every bit as rewarding as famous ones, and giving readers the confidence to plan both short breaks and longer journeys themselves.

Why accessible travel matters, and how we approach it

Travel broadens perspective, but it is often presented as something reserved for long vacations and big budgets. We think a well-planned weekend in a nearby city, or a week moving between towns by train, can be just as meaningful.

Our guides focus on independent travel, affordability, and flexibility. We explain the main costs, suggest ways to get around without a car, and offer itineraries you can follow or reshape. Where details change often, such as prices, timetables, or entry requirements, we say so and point you toward official sources.

What we are, and what we are not

Air Service Assist provides travel information and inspiration. We are not an airline, booking agency, tour operator, or transportation provider, and we do not sell or book travel directly. Our team

Air Service Assist is run by a small editorial team based in Mt Pleasant, Wisconsin. We write, edit, and update the guides ourselves, and we read every message that comes in through our contact page.

We do not have open positions listed at the moment. Responsibility and sustainability

We do not run formal programs or make sustainability claims. What we can do is encourage choices that tend to be kinder to places: traveling by rail and public transport where it is practical, staying longer in fewer places, visiting outside peak times, and spending money with local businesses.
